... I would point out that it's hard to feel too optimistic about Team USA's chances, when our own president -- not normally a man who's shy about indulging in nationalistic bluster that exaggerates American ability out of all proportion to reality -- can offer only this lukewarm assessment:
"Of course, my team is the U.S. team. They tell me we've got a good team. Now, whether it's good enough to win it all, who knows? But I know they'll try their hardest."Try their hardest? Not exactly a vote of confidence! Still, it's refreshing to see him make a judgment informed by the evidence for once.
